Episode 43 of "Words from My Teachers"

Readings from the book, "Bright Dawn: Discovering Your Everyday Spirituality" by Rev. Koyo Kubose

In this episode we will continue reading from the book, Bright Dawn: Discovering Your Everyday Spirituality by Rev. Koyo Kubose, which was published in 2004.

I am offering the continuation of the essay “Running” free because it contains some of my favorite teachings of Rev. Koyo Kubose, including teachings around his mantra “Keep Going.” You will notice his mention of “keep going” in this part, part 2, also.

Keep Going is a deep teaching despite it’s simple sounding advice. I’m sure each listener will take something from what Rev. Koyo shares, like this:

“Keep going” is not just an expression of reassurance and encouragement. “Keep going” also means not to rest on one’s laurels, not to get caught in one’s own conclusions, and not to think one has found final answers.

I hope you will subscribe to hear more from Rev. Koyo. As you can see, he has a delightful way of presenting the Dharma through stories and reflections from his life. I am blessed to have him as a teacher and I can hear his chuckles and see his expressions as I read. I hope it comes through.

I hope you enjoy these Monday readings and also hope you’ll subscribe to ensure you continue listening to the rest of this next book, Bright Dawn.
